I had always preferrred Photobucket in the beginning because clicking on a photo in a post didnt first send you to an inbetween page like some other image hosting sites.

No limit on resolution if you stayed under 1 mb.Worked great.

Then I noticed my screens were looking bad and thought I was using Photoshop wrong or something.

Turns out photobucket started recompressing all your images to save bandwidth even tho you stayed under the maximum rez and size criteria.

No warning, dosnt matter if its a free account or pro...just ruined all your images.

Sounds like the netflix effect to me.

Screw you Photobucket.

I have teeny problem.

I am ready to update Knot Vista to Knot Aero for XP,Vista and 7.

I went cuckoo and made 9 styles for the OS's, plus 7 color subs for 8 of those styles.

WBconfig is starting to choke on the previews a little. There are 37 without the color presets for Win7.

Add them and it ends up at 65 subs total and it takes WBconfig a bit to show all the preview thumbnails.

In my madness I blundered into a solution...make 2 different .WBO7 files.37 subs on the one for XP and Vista, and 37 on the ones for Win7.

Both can be renamed and just sit there in the folder.Bad news is,the user would have to rename the file to use whichever color subs he needed. All the regular styles would be available from either one, only the extra colors would be split up.

So if it will package properly,is this an acceptable solution or should I just put all 65 on one .WBO7 file? (it takes nearly 2 minutes to generate the thumbnails...on my POS emachines W3107) [e digicons]:pout:[/e]

So far I think the libraries feature in Win7 is about as stupid as it gets...the header is wasted space, but at least we can skin it now.

I decided to try and find a use for this feature so it would seem useful. I dont see how its different in ANY way from using shortcuts to ANY damn location on ANY hardrive I have...you can make your own folder full of shortcuts and call it a 'library'. [e digicons][/e]

So...I try to use it and as soon as I use the arrange by drop down set to anything other than 'folder'...it says this folder is empty...???!...funny,a second ago it was full of files and folders.

So what the hell is going on?

Before I update ecoLogical for what I hope is the final...I need some help from everybody that has it to nail down some last bugs in the skin. (not the ones that are there on purpose)

I'm already fixing a few small bugs that users have found for me.

Shutdown arrow in Win7 being misaligned on non english systems. (adding 2 substyles for that...any coloring styles will have to be added by the user)

A misaligned ladybug on the shutdown area Win7

Adding 1 more substyle to XP (vineshadow Jungle)

A link text color Win7

So far I think thats it...now wheres my crack team of testers? (yes, the same ones that didnt find any of the above) [e digicons]^_^[/e]

A followup to my wildly popular [e digicons]<_<[/e] Put some XP back in Vista and Win7 post  https://forums.wincustomize.com/378472/page/1/#replies

Here is another cute one regarding cascading all programs menu like in XP.

Some of us miss that in Vista and Win7...tho I've gotten used to a scrolling all programs menu I dont necessarily like it.

So look at the picture, its pretty simple to do...only requires one cascading menu on the right side of the start menu.Administrative tools will do as well as what I picked.

The folder has to be COPIED...not just linked to or shortcutted...or it wont cascade open.(unless I did something wrong...maybe you can get a shortcut/link version to cascade...if you do,let us know)

Thats the only problem...the copied one will not change as you install or uninstall programs...tho I bet there is a way to make that happen. The plus part of that is only the programs you want to see could be in there and ALL of them in the actual more programs.

I renamed mine to 'a Programs' to get it to sort to the top of the menu.

Of course some nimrod will come along to say how much better the new way is...but thats not the point is it?I aint telling you that you have to do it this way...I just wanted to show you it COULD be done. [e digicons][/e]
